HDF Hospital Center, a leading healthcare provider, faced significant challenges driven by the rapid expansion of its hospital network, the need to migrate newly integrated facilities to the Oracle platform, and increasing demands for performance and high availability. The existing legacy Oracle databases and outdated infrastructure were no longer capable of supporting the growing ecosystem of critical healthcare applications. As a result, the hospital experienced recurring performance bottlenecks, and rising operational costs and security and compliance risks.
Recognizing the urgent need for modernization, HDF Hospital Center partnered with Datamind, a renowned Oracle consulting and services provider, to assess their existing database environment and design a robust solution tailored to their specific requirements.
The ultimate goal was to achieve zero data loss/zero-downtime, improved performance, enhanced security and IT cost reduction while ensuring minimal downtime, and no disruption to the safeguarding life-critical applications that managed the patient records, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
Solution
Datamind team developed and executed a phased, risk-mitigated approach to upgrade and migrate more than 20 Oracle databases (spanning Production, UAT, Test and DR) to HDF new infrastructure. The key activities included:

The implementation of a fully synchronized DR site at the DR data center further solidified HDF resilience ensuring business continuity for HDF.
